The Social Grocery of Samos aims at the social protection and care of the vulnerable groups affected by the consequences of the great economic and social crisis. Through a horizontal actions of reinforcement and support, it contributes towards the lifting of the consequences of poverty unemployment, social exclusion and the marginalization of citizens and families.

The Social Grocery provides, free of charge, to the beneficiaries :
- Packaged products (pulses, pasta),
- frozen products (meat, fish),
- olive oil,
- dairy products,
- fruit, vegetables,
- personal hygiene and sanitation products,
- infant development products,
- clothing and footwear,
- household items,
- training and entertainment material (e.g. Books, games etc)

Purpose & Vision
Protection of the vulnerable groups
The Social Grocery of Samos was created in 2017 as part of the initiatives and actions of the municipality of Samos for the civil protection and care of the vulnerable groups affected by the consequences of the great economic and social crisis. After 2019, the Social Grocery of Samos continues to provide its services to the inhabitants of the municipality of Eastern Samos as well as the inhabitants of the municipality of Western Samos becoming intermunicipal. Our vision is the strengthening of the Social Grocery so that it can serve more beneficiaries.
